Mumbai, India & Albuquerque, U.S. – September 24, 2024: TAC Security, a global leader in cybersecurity, is proud to announce the appointment of Hector Balderas, former Attorney General of New Mexico, to the Board of Directors of its U.S. subsidiary, TAC Security Inc. This appointment reinforces TAC Security’s commitment to strengthening its leadership and governance with expertise in public safety, cybersecurity, and consumer protection.
Hector Balderas brings with him a wealth of experience as an accomplished attorney, fraud examiner, and advocate for consumer protection. His tenure as Attorney General of New Mexico (2015–2023) was marked by his pioneering efforts in cybersecurity, particularly in protecting children from cyber-threats, enhancing consumer rights, and advancing the state’s overall cyber risk management framework. His leadership also extended to his role as State Auditor, State Representative, and the elected Treasurer of the National Association of Latino Elected Officials (NALEO). Currently, he serves as President of Northern New Mexico College.
