Day Zero: 13 Years of Belief and the Beginning of TAC Security

TAC Security 13th Foundation - Day Zero

On TAC Security’s 13th Foundation Day, while greetings were exchanged, the word ‘celebration’ was deliberately avoided.

This is not a celebration day,” said Founder & CEO Trishneet Arora.
It’s a day of belief.

Across more than 20 locations and multiple time zones – from India to the United States, the Middle East to Canada – teams from TAC Security, Cyberscope, Socify and across the group gathered not to mark an anniversary, but to celebrate and reaffirm a mindset.

Because 13 years ago, TAC Security was not a company (as it is today); it was a conviction.

Belief First, Business Next

Back in 2013, there was hardly a blueprint for building a global cybersecurity and vulnerability management company from India. And certainly no precedent for becoming the country’s first publicly listed cybersecurity firm. No template for designing an AI-led security intelligence at scale either.
There was only belief.

Vijay Kedia, India’s ace investor or as he described himself “believer of Arora’s vision” and TAC’s earliest backer reflected on those formative years:
13 years ago, this was not a company; it was a belief. Today, that belief protects business data and even nations,” he said.

He added that he believed in an idea that one day this company would stand on global platforms, including NASDAQ.
I feel proud not only as the first investor but as a witness to resilience turning into reality. The journey so far is remarkable. But the best chapters are still ahead.”

Tested Dreams

As the evening progressed, several early TACians (as called) spoke of joining a resilient company with a large and clear dream.

It was collectively recalled that even though things are still refining, still growing but there is always clarity in where the company is headed.

But there was a time when clarity was tested during COVID: a time when uncertainty defined global markets. While many organizations contracted, TAC chose stability. No layoffs were made. The crisis became a catalyst.

And then, that dream was no longer theoretical; it was disciplined.

Builders in the Making

For Saransh Rawat, CTO, the story of TAC mirrored his own.

Joining as an Information Security Analyst and growing into a tech mega role, he reflected on the collective journey.

It’s been a roller coaster. But we built together and we overcame challenges together.”

His words echoed what many within TAC family already felt, that growth here is not only in revenue, markets or listings; it’s in the people.

The company does not merely scale products and services, it shapes builders.

Building The Next Wave

In his address, Trishneet Arora reflected on 2013 not as a milestone but as a moment of imagination.

There was no case study. Whatever we did, we did for the first time,” he said.

From becoming India’s first publicly listed cybersecurity company to building AI-led vulnerability intelligence and expanding into Web3 security through CyberScope, the journey has been one of defining paths rather than following them.

But Arora was clear, that scale has never been the objective.

We don’t build to become rich. We build to solve customer problems. If we solve more problems, growth follows,” he said.

In a world where AI is reshaping the threat landscape and trust has become currency, TAC Security’s role, he said, is not merely to participate in cybersecurity but to shape its direction.

We are not building just a company,” he said. “We are building a category.”

Day Zero

The most resonant moment of the evening came when Arora reframed 13 years not as culmination, but commencement.

Let’s call this Day Zero.”

In cybersecurity, a zero day vulnerability represents urgency, responsibility, and readiness.

For TAC, Day Zero symbolises humility in success and ambition in progress.
When we reach 2030 and look back at 2025,” he said, “we may laugh at what we thought was big.”

Looking across the teams gathered virtually, he added:

When I see all of you, I don’t see employees. I see builders.”

13 years ago, TAC Security began with belief. Today, it stands as a publicly listed, globally expanding cybersecurity institution. Yet the essence remains unchanged. Conviction before comfort. Purpose before scale. Builders before titles.

This time, for TAC Security, Foundation Day was not about looking back.

It was about recommitting to what comes next.

Day Zero has just begun.
